From explosions, to the mafia, to car chases, movies for men are usually intense. What are the best movies for men in your opinion?

We gathered a short list of some movies we like, but would like to know your opinion!

The Godfather

Francis Ford Coppola directed this movie in 1972, and it’s a classic through this day. Albert S. Ruddy was the producer¬† and Coppola had the help of Mario Puzo.

Marlon Brando and Al Pacino act as the leaders of a fictional New York crime family. The story spans tfrom 1945 to 1955, concentrating on the transformation of Michael Corleone from reluctant family outsider to ruthless Mafia boss while chronicling the Corleones under the patriarch Vito.

Goodfellas

Martin Scorsese, the Mafia Movie’s Master, directed this classic american movie from 1990.

It is a film adaptation of the 1986 non-fiction book Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Scorsese. This movie narrates the rise and fall of Lucchese crime family associate Henry Hill and his friends over a period from 1955 to 1980.

Gladiator

Ridley Scott, Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix are the stars of this movie: The first one as a director – one of the best of his generation! – and the second two as actors who gave some of their life’s best performances on this movie.

Crowe portrays a fictional character, a loyal Roman general called Maximus. He is betrayed when Commodus, the ambitious son of Emperor Marcus Aurelius (Joaquin Phoenix), murders his father and seizes the throne.

Rocky

Back in 1976 Sylvester Stallone wrote and starred this all-time classic! Sometimes we consider Sylvester Stalone movies just an action movie with not much intelectual value around it.

In this case, the first ever Rocky movie was so fantastic and amazingly done that it touched audiences and was even nominated for a Best Picture Oscar.

Rocky Balboa is an uneducated but kind-hearted working class Italian-American boxer who wors as a debt collector for a loan shark in the slums of Philadelphia.

Rocky starts out as a small-time club fighter who later gets a shot at the world heavyweight championship.

The Wolf of Wall Street

The Wolf of Wall Street is a 2013 American biographical black comedy movie that was directed by Martin Scorsese (second time on our list!).

Terence Winter signs this screenplay and adapted it from the eponymous memoir of Jordan Belfort and recounts from Belfort’s perspective on his career as a stockbroker in New York City.

Jordan Belfort’s firm “Stratton Oakmont” engaged in rampant corruption and fraud on Wall Street that ultimately led to his downfall.
